I'm going to set up a private Boards.ie tipping league at www.gg.com. I'm sure just about everyone has been to gg.com but if you haven't, its simple to sign up and you can join in the exclusive boards tipping challenge.

I haven't decided how long it should be...maybe a short one (1 or 2 weeks) to start and if it becomes popular or more people become interested then a bigger one can start.

The league can be decided on %Gain, Profit or Strike Rate.

ok...overwhelming response to the tipping comp. Surely some of you in the Challenges/Log Subforum want to get in on the comp?

Come on, who thinks they can rule the boards gambling forum and be the undisputed tipping champ? You cant all be backing pricewise and HT...give us your own 20-1 winner!

I've been looking at gg.com for last two years and only 'discovered' they had a forum only a few days ago I like their fantasy betting league, it's loads of fun and it cost you nothing
I'd definately join just for the crack of it.

I've created the "boards.ie Tipping League" starting Saturday until Sunday. If other people want to join a bigger league we can do a 'November League' obviously starting Sunday 1st of November. I'm sure if any one wants to join this league during the week it'll be possible.

I had the league start tomorrow so it would end on a Saturday and the Sunday is the first of November so the November League can start.

The tipping league started with a whimper yesterday with only 2 of the registered tipsters submitting selections. Coincidentally both found Toby Jug too tempting to pass at odds of about 3/1.

The other players have plenty of time to get involved with another 6 days of racing to claw back the tiny head start the spritely two have been afforded.

As of yet, there are no more takers to the tipping league though there is no rush to get the tips in as one good punt would easily make the early birds look rather useless...:o

Zabit had a disastrous day losing around %70 of his profit. Nulty had a less disastous but still unsuccessful days punting sacrificing around %10 of his profit. This was enough for Nulty to nose ahead in the profit stakes.

Another disastrous day's tipping all round but the figures show the newcomers have actually shown the early birds in a good light. Not much I can say that isn't said by the league table.
By the way, the league table is ranked by PROFIT

no, try not to lose all your money, I think thats what a couple of others didn't know.

In all fairness, my last two days tipping have been SP's and the bets placed the night before. I'll be able to tip live on Friday so thats when my balance should look a bit healthier. You'd better make your 50quid bets count!

Hey Nulty, well done on this, it's enjoyable, and a good way of measuring how not being disciplined will lose you money ! Write this week off as a trial and start a new one for November...;)..... my strike rate is ok, but acting foolishly and betting big on some fav.'s that lost has me way down. If I stuck to a level stakes I'd be doing ok !! Playing this for a few weeks will make me better when it comes to laying down my own money i reckon. Probably only make 2 or 3 days next week cos of work, but should be ok. Thing is............will my losses of this week carry on forever, so I can never catch up ???

your losses in your own bank balance carry over but when a new league starts the slate will be clean but your left with what you won or lost in the previous league.

Gambling 101 = Dont blow your bank balance.

the problem with gg fantasy betting is that they put more money into your account every month, so you never really go bust

Happy Days! I put a tenner on Baila Me (2.10 Lingfield) on Betfair this morning before I left home but forgot to tip it in the gg league.
