the place was for sale at the time - was asking €950,000 eight years ago.
i actually only had one roll of film, according to what i posted here; my memory is going. some more detail on the house (which is a 26 bedroom palladian mansion on about 100 acres):

I already have a list, but I'll chip in with the above.

HDRs - ESPECIALLY badly done HDR.
    Gaudy strobism
    Fake film borders
Copyright marks running across the photo (No... Seriously, the photo ain't that good.)
Tobacco grads, pink grads... er... Grads that should have stayed in the 80's issues of Amatuer Photographer

I've more, but I won't rant too much... yet.

actually, i'll add another pet peeve, which is that stitched format abandonedireland uses, which makes it hard to get a sense of the proportions of these interiors.

I must protest this I don't think they should have stayed in the 80's. I think there is a place for them if they're done good, but in order for them to be done good unfortunately you have to learn from the bad.

people that get models to pose with an arm hanging over their head. Or with that stupid mouth half open face. Where do they invent these things?

Isn't that a man thing to do to a model?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,966 ✭✭✭elven

Who knows. Unfortunately because there are photographs like that, girls who want to model learn how to do it because they think that's what 'real' models do, and it goes on in a vicious cycle.

Agreed. It seems once they get to use the grads once, they use them on everything.

better yet, buy a cheap pair of gloves and just cut off the thumb and index finger. no point in needlessly getting your other finger tips cold now is there ;)
