Logic-What am I doing wrong?

    When I play guitar the signal is definitely getting through to the audio interface but the signal isnt getting to laptop then. Ive tried both the AI and plugging the guitar straight into laptop but the signal isnt getting through either way. When I plug guitar to laptop its just static noise that comes through.

    Ive tried changing which input im using on screen but the only one that seems to record anything is the built in mic which is crap.

    Help please!!

    Have you loaded drivers correctly?

    More info needed:

    1: correct inputs activated within logic?

    2: clocking problem ie: track is defaulted to 41 and your unit is at 48 or 96 etc.. all you will get is noise....

    check them 1st and off ya go.... my money is on sample rate prob !
