Distance as the crow flies from the main terminal entrance to each city's respective rail stations.

You can't really judge road travel distances like this on 'as the crow flies'.

As a crow flies, he doesn't have to adjust his path for things like hills, mountains, rivers, towns etc...

Even though you have Galway down as being further, maybe it's a more direct route on the ground than Waterford is, using less petrol etc...

Didn't know crows were offering a service from Waterford Train Station to Dublin Airport.

You can train birds to do almost anything these days

You 110 miles to dublin airport which takes 4 hours by rapid express.

How many stops are on each route that you got those times from? Dublin Airport is the 19th stop from Waterford.

The Galway route is cheaper because you don't have to go through the absolute rubbish excuse for roads that you see in south Co. Kilkenny. The fact that you can barely get out of third gear on those roads probably causes the greater cost on the Waterford route.
