Plenty of crossfit bodyweight workouts if you don't have access to weights?

There are a few people in crossfit that travel from your area to Tallaght , but if you not wishing to travel is do a search and if you have the weights maybe try a few workouts at home.

Thanks for all the replies lads,
I think id prefer to hit a gym than do it at home, in a gym with other people it is much easier to motivate yourself,
Im current 6 weeks into recovery on a broken metacarpel in my left hand so it'll be another 3 weeks before i can bare weight on it,

You could perform CrossFit technically anywhere.

What happens, or at least what we've found is that when people do it on their own the lack the competitive element of group training, also they'll tend to let the standards slip on their movements too. The camaraderie and the coaching are the two biggest benefits of training in a CrossFit facility.

A couple of Private Training sessions might be an idea to help you with the technique if you're interested?

Roper, can you pop in on a pay as you go basis? Its kind of far from home - but a saturday morning might be good - assuming there is somekind of crossfit type thing going on

Barry's got a good place going on out there. I wouldn't say their training is CrossFit but they're helping people seriously interested in Strength and Conditioning.

I'm in a normal gym LA Fitness in Dartry,D6, and I follow www.crossfitfootball.com it's more rugby/american football specific crossfit workouts (heavier weights and more strength work) but there's never been any real problem with any of their workouts in my gym. The major failing might be that you can't do some of the olympic lifts but there's alway good substitutes available that more than make up for it. You can do Crossfit anywhere really.
