If you upgrade by ringing the call centre it usually takes a couple of hours before SKY enables the card over the air.

I have multiroom will that take longer to process as I did it online and only put in info for one viewing card

No it shouldnt as both cards will recieve it as part of your multiroom package. Should take between 2 mins to 4hrs.

Any time I've ever called Sky to upgrade/downgrade, the channel(s) in question were availabe/unavailable in a matter of seconds.

now i have a new question, after enjoying sky sports tonite, I now see sky have upgraded my account to all mixes which before I had only 4.

suggestions?, going to ring sky in the morning and get them to remove the packs as i dont want culture and news packs, will they be sly and make me keep them?

    Beware of Skys 'tricks'
If you are a sports fan ESPN classic is in the news and events mix as is ATR.
TCM&2 are not in the mix you expect them to be.

Sky only has the six packages because it was ordered by regulators to do so.
So their way around it was to charge nearly E22 per month for your first pack and only euro2 for each of the other five.:)

otherwise if all basic packs were charged at an equal price and a person wanted only one the price per month would only be approx euro 3.50! :)

Sky had a fliers in last weekend's paper claiming that you can add on sky sport to your package for approx 15 euro per month, is that possible as it seems to be around 30 euro per month on their website ?

You can add on Sky Sports for €15.50 extra per month. For either sports 1 or 2 is €37. (€21.50 + €15.50 = €37.00)

    Hi...

I am sure this one has been well covered already but just joined so wanted to ask for some advise on upgrade to Sky + only. I am exisiting customer since 2005 and called Sky Ireland this week to ask about upgrade to Sky +. They registered me for offers and I received one today for free sky plus box and one for friend ( Referral offer) only problem is installation for me as existing customer is €100 which is a bit crazy as I have been with them for some time now and it's only 40 for new customer. I am only person at this address and therefore need to keep account in my name. Do you think I should call them and ask for better deal or is this is standard upgrade price?

Ring them, say you've thought about their offer and it's cheaper to go with cable in the area and that you're going to cancel, cite offers for new customers as reason, if they don't offer you deal there and then hold your nerve and wait to get put through to cancellation department, explain calmly why you're cancelling and watch them offer you a better deal...

    Hi...

Thanks for the advice.....i just called and asked about a better offer but the guy was not able to help so i asked to cancel and he gave me number to call. I spoke to a very good guy there and explained that after 5 years I did not think I should have to pay €100 for the upgrade and wanted to cancel. He agreed and offered me €29.99 upgrade ( total cost) including sky + box so I am more than happy with the service.....thanks for the advice
