Are acknowledgements sections typically included in transfer documents?

Are they usually dedicated to someone?

My impression is that acknowledgements should be included and a dedication should not be.

I didn't include either. I just viewed my transfer document as an internal report.

I'd agree with you OP, that's what I did. From what I recall the acknowledgement in the transfer was short too, just supervisor and in my case, head of a department in another college that gave me free access to their equipment etc. When it came to my final thesis, my acknowledgement was more detailed. I didn't dedicate either my transfer or my thesis, just my own preference, I left the most important personal thanks until last in the acknowledgements. Good luck with the transfer
