Does anyone know how much we'll have to pay in for this?

Also, are they doing a cash pot? Doesn't say anything either which way, but I know Gamesoc have been told they're not allowed to anymore, and have had to do vouchers for winners, so I'd imagine they'll be caught by the same ruling.

I have no idea ... I suppose I'll just turn up and hope for the best.

Yeah what is with that? Is it because of some gambling thing? My friend won it last night, not sure what she's getting though.

Probably something along those lines, yeah. They were just doing a cash pot bu then they got told to stop. Think the plan is that they can do some kind of voucher depending on what the person who won wants - All4one, dundrum, etc.

Id say its non cash prizes cos the college cant be seen to setting up a mini casino. Also non cash prizes prevent anybody organising the events, from skimming a bit off the top!

I know some people were put off by the voucher thing.

I don't really see why (unless you don't trust Gamesoc) as the vouchers available makes it essentially the same as getting money (albeit with a slight delay).

Well, unless you're a shark who's showing up to sort out this weeks rent...

I'd be thrilled to get a voucher though.Get one for Tesco and you're food shopping's sorted for the week.:)

€50 a week on food? Better change your supermarket tbh. But do agree on the voucher idea. I should play this poker thing, my housemates do it most weeks, think 2 of them have won so far haha.

How did the Irish one go anyone hear?

I ended up not going - I realised I'd forgotten my student card and ID. :(

At least I was already on campus for choir.
