    Anyone know if you can get a Vietnamese visa at the airport on arrival?

    No you cant. If you arrive without one they wont let you in. Its essential you get one before you get there. If you're in a rush you can send your passport to the Vietnamese embassy with an SAE for swiftpost to possibly get it back within a week.

    I know you can apply online and give your flight details and pick it up on arrival (You have to have circa 25 US dollars). Was there during the summer and it worked fine. Not sure what web site but look up the embassy one and that should point you in the right direction

    Two option:

    1. Apply for a visa in advance at a Vietnam overseas post (closest to Ireland is London).

    2. Search google and use one of many agencies who offer the visa on arrival service.
