Jason O'Ceallaigh of the AIKLF will be teaching a Kettlebell course in SEAMA Academy in Galway on November 14th from 1-4pm. The course will cost £65 STERLING for which you will receive a FREE 16kg Competition grade Kettlebell AS WELL as the 3 hours instruction from J. Although the course can be paid for on the day, in order to ensure you have a Kettlebell you must pay in advance on www.aiklf.org

Dave, next time can you PM one of the mods before posting these? This will help similar posts avoid the trash :)

    Makikomi,
can be a pain in the arse.
, sorry but as a regular contributor to SD/MA I didn't think I needed to contact the Mods about this type of post.

Jayoo, if you can find Golfstyle in Liosban, glance to the left (there is a sign for the Cash Factory) and you'll see a laneway and we're just in there;)

    Whats the story with practicals?
I'd really like to do this but am carrying an injury.

This is where the golfstyle place is anyways...

Dave what does the course involve, is it showing beginners how to do the different kettlebell exercises, preparing people for instruction certification or what? Does sound interesting, just need more info.

    what does the course involve,

Sorry guys, forgot to add that information. This particular course is more aimed at beginners (and there will be some others who have been training a while) and how to execute a variety of techniques SAFELY with the bells and Jason has a wealth of knowledge. He's been to Latvia to train with Vasiliys a number of times.

However, by taking part in this course, you could then move on to a possible preparation for certification when Vasiliys Ginko returns to Ireland in November.
I'd really like to do this but am carrying an injury.

I would suggest making sure your doctor/therapist allows your participation and if you get the all clear from them, then there is no reason not to try it out.

As regards directions, if you can find Golfstyle we're literally just around the corner but if you need more PM your mail/mobile and I'll can tell you exactly.

I was at one of Jason's kettlebell seminars a while back. He's a fantastic teacher and a top bloke. I highly recommend you check out his courses because you'll learn so much stuff that you can only pick up in person.

Dave can you post a link to the page displaying information about the course? Also http://www.aiklf.org/kettlebell_workshop.php this page says the kettlebell is not free, which is it?

Sorry Dave, I didn't mean to come accross like it reads - probably should have stuck in a smilie or something.

Your more than welcome to post anything on the SD&MA forum which benefits us all there.

I hope you accept my apology, your an excellent contributor to the forum.

Hey Brian, this is from that page
Workshop + Professional 16 kg Kettlebell Only £65 (or £45 without Kettlebell)

so, yes, I suppose this may seem like its a £20 charge for the bell BUT even at that, it is cheap for that type of Kettlebell. Secondly some of the lads already own a bell and J thought it was fairer to charge them less for the course.

Of course Makikomi, no worries at all;)

Cheap is not the same as free tbh. I would personally suggest you edit the first post, an extra £20 could be the difference between going and not for many, and customers certainly deserve to know there are two price options and correct info on the nature of purchases.
