Can you give more details on the focus of the expo? Would it be equipment and training methods or simply information about events at home/abroad?

What would be the advantage over joining a club?

It sounds interesting, but a bit more information might help.

Similar to the Cycle Show (not as big) in London or the TCR show in Surrey, UK. Would have a combination of Exhibitors, Demos, Lectures/Seminars/Presentations, and clinics.

Dublin shows usually suck.... however if you were going to do this I'd match it up with the Dublin City Tri, and include mass partcipation cycles, and may be a 5kn run. This will get more people to the event.

Not a bad idea. I wouldn't be too sure if you would get the critical mass needed (both in terms of exhibitors and attendees) to make it successful though?

    Nope.
I've been at expos in the UK, Austria and a few other places. The one in Austria was okay as it was hard to get products sold cheaply. I can only imagine that the Dublin one will be same-old-crap sold at high prices.

Dublin is not a great venue if looking for an international audience for any exhibition or conference, lack of direct flights and anybody transiting through the UK has visa issues as ourselves and UK are outside EU Schengen passport system.
