My question is this folks, am buying a car and wonder is there anyway of knowing that the guy selling it is who he says he is? Aside obviously from asking for ID etc which could be faked. He does have all the paper work for the car. Also, just want to take all the precautions is there a check that can be done for all…

His/her address will also be on the VLC. Although if you feel that they're the kind of seller who might carry fake ID then you need to ask yourself whether you shouldn't be buying elsewhere.
