Trans Sib or South America? Help me decide..

Ok im at the very early planning stage.

Ive got a month of next year (march) so want to plan an epic trip. Ive done the whole Oz thing, the whole of South East Asia, America, Canada and everywhere in Europe.

So im thinking of either the Trans Siberian type trip (totally modified to my own tastes) or South America.

For the trans Sib, im thinking of flying to Moscow and going from there. have travelled a lot of Russia already, hence me going straight to Moscow. From Moscow id head for Ultan Baar in Mongolia, stopping of in places for a day or 2 here and there to break the boredom of the train journey. Id stick around Mongolia for a few days and then head for China, again stopping of here and there but ultimatly head for Bejing. From here id like to go to Korea, where a friend of mine lives...and then head home. I have a month to do this.
It should be noted that im mad into Russias history etc so it is swaying to wards this trip.

Or a trip to South America, which i havent even began to look into, but would like to see Brazil, Argentina and Peru. I hear its way more expensive, but would be warmer!

Any ideas/experiences/tips on making my decision?

Having done both. Trans Siberian once and stopped off at more than just the usual tourist spots and South America twice. I would pick SA over trans-siberian. While i did have a great time on the trans sib i just had a better time in South America. Much more variation in landscape, a language i can speak, in my opinion a by and large more friendlier and welcoming bunch of people and seem to enjoy life more (refering to Russia more so), warmer climate, can be a bit more expensive but not by huge amounts, (especially if you avoid Brazil), the women, nightlife. Just so much made me leave with something i hold on to dearer than my memories of Russia, Mongolia and China. Although Mongolia was the highlight for me. Didn't really get to do much in China.

South America is being over run with tourism and i don't think a lot of places have long left before people see a lot of those places in the same light as holiday places in the likes of Spain or Greece. Especially Colombia. People becoming less tolerant of tourists, prices being raised, more ripping off/over-pricing, etc. So now would be a good time to see it in some of it's old glory. Where as i don't think the trans sib is going to change too much any time soon.
