Fit to take a sledge to my Sky+HD box

    Most of the time playbacks have intermittent pauses, going around the menus are very slow and fast forwarding does not work above 2X.

    I have done the rebuild twice, I have plugged out the box for a while but problem returns after a few minutes.

    Should I do a mater reset?

    Which box is this?
    I've the pace 9200 and no problems pretty much.
    It's the one they recalled but I didnt accept the recall.

    The only time I have a problem with the box is when the hard drive is almost full.It doesnt like that and there can be momentary pauses on anytime playback or on recordings when that is the case ie when it is more than 90% full.
    The same was true of my old sky plus box when almost full.

    Your box is guaranteed for a year so I'd strongly suggest you call them,tell them you are annoyed and demand a replacement.
    They should do that for free.

    Beware if you are over your warranty period, if they have to do a service call and provide you with a repalcement box. They will charge you for this box but it is a reconditioned unit not a new box, and they only gaurantee it for 3 months!

    Hi Lads, thanks for the reply. I have the box around 18 or 19 months, so warranty is out.

    Is there a way of FULLY RESETTING this curse of a Sky HD box. I want it back to day one settings, old EPG, the Hard Disk wiped, loose every single thing. Next job will be the sledge hammer seriously!!!

    Who makes your box? Knowing this could help us help you!

    Oh and nope EPG is a one way thing. :(
