Tint can be pulled off. Get a razor blade or Stanley blade under an outside corner to make a start. If you're careful it should come off cleanly.

    I have actually done this.

It didn't come off cleanly, despite great care. I ended up having to scape off lots of small bits with a razor blade paint scraper. Hours of fun for just two side windows. due to the nature of the adhesive, the scraper was prone to grabbing and releasing all of a sudden with scratches to the glass being a consequence

That's just getting the film off. The adhesive that was left behind was also a pain to remove. Even using acetone it was hard to shift.

Gentle heat from a hair dryer can help in removing film such as this, along with most contact materials as used in the application of graphics etc. It will warm the film to make it more pliable and less prone to split and crack and also softens the adhesive. Just a sufficient gentle heat is needed though, so experiment a little and you should get a result.

Totally agree... Hairdryer is the best job...
