Hey - I manage a rock band called OnOff.

Is there anyone here think they could do a better job in mixing these tracks? even potential dance versions?

    Let me know your thoughts if you have any interest;

    Link to songs is here

    The songs are called:

    Stars Don't Shine
    Dealer in the distance.
    Suicide

i really like that band mate - nice one - love that dudes voice.

Yeah, I could. I love that semi clean guitar vibe, I'd certainly bring it up more on the 1st song. It's a pity they break the rythm after those B sections though, I would have prefered if they ploughed straight through, less is more an all that...

I really don't think it would lend itself to a dance version unless you made the songs totally unrecognisable.

    What was it recorded on?

Hey like it im hearing artics, placebo vibes etc.. etc.. on 1st listen.

Each track just sounds a bit thin to me no balls and weight :(

hi, id give that a shot. They are very thin sounding mixes, i could definitely improve on that and beef up the sound and feel of the tunes. Let me know if your interested.

just a heads up lads, despite what the post says, this guy isnt looking for someone to mix anything. what he wants is someone to get the band he manages signed or as he said "what labels you could get a single played on"

quite why he's posting in this part of the forum is beyond me

could be an honest mistake or could just be an underhanded why of cosying up to label owners.. who knows.

As already posted they need some 'fat' but I would hardly call that mixing. Dance beats wouldn't work with the artic monkeys vibe in my opinion, so do they need to be mixed better? I think not. I wonder did the OP get the tracks mastered? Maybe the tracks need to be remastered?

Hey, despite what Dave Nagel says,

I am looking for someone to give the tracks a heavier mix.

If you are interested please private message me with sample work and an indication of costs you are going to charge.

why when asked did you not mention samples or costs but only if i had the ability "to get the single played on labels"?

    am i missing something here?

no just have to get the tracks properly mixed for over the next few weeks as I have Korda Marshall coming to Dublin to check the band out.
