    Hi,

Would anyone know if there is anyway of getting Tekken Tag Tournament working on a PS2? My little brother really likes this game, but it's one of those blue disks that doesnt seem to work. Anyone know anyway of getting it to work?

    Regards,
    Darren

if it never worked I'd go with rizzla's idea

if it used to work you could look into replacing the laser, not that hard to do, probably find some vids on youtube etc

My ps2 wouldn't read any games near the end of it's life so I adjusted the default height of the laser so it was closer to the disc. I ended up having to tweak it for each game though, pain in the hole.

If its a case that the disc is ok and it just not reading anymore, you can increase the voltage to the laser.
Its quite easy to do, requires only a philips head screwdriver and a downloaded image from the net of the adjustment screw so you know what to look for.

Search google or take a look at http://ps2repairs.amenet.co.uk/laser.htm, theres plenty of sites out there with detailed instructions on how to do it.

Bear in mind however, this will only fix a laser which has been aged. Theres a world of things that can go wrong but this is the most common fault and fix.

You could just get Tekken 5, Tekken Tag is a ****e.

Repairing the laser yourself is only a temporary fix and you are more likely to ruin the laser even more, thats what happened to me when I tried to fix my first PS2. You are better off getting someone to replace the laser or just getting a new one.

Yet another unbiased 'review'. He said his little brother likes it, yet you couldn't help but chime in with your opinion, honestly, who cares!

The laser in the ps2 is very capable of taking a voltage increase, it gets burned out by people adjusting it by huge margins when only a degree or 2 is needed. If after 5 degrees the game is not loading, it can be returned to a marked stock position, it will not "ruin the laser even more".
Its an easy and quick option to try before hes been advised to simply give up and spend money.
