    hi people,

i am thinking about getting me a new used bike along these lines
    img115.jpghttp://www.cyclesuperstore.ie/shop/pc/shbikes/pictures/img115.jpg
but i think it is a bit overpriced with 1000 euro for an 05 (by the looks of it).
any advice on whether it's a deal worth going for or whether there are better options out there would be more than welcome.

    cheers

Way overpriced at that price, it retails for not much more than that new. Probably a decent entry level bike if a bit heavy for carbon. Realistically the seller should be looking at around €600 for that bike, 700 if they were lucky. CSS don't set the prices, they just ask for what the owner is looking for. They will convey an offer back though (maybe with a suggestion that the owner see sense.)

It's a win-win. These prices make the new bikes in CSS look good value, and shoppers get the impression that bikes will be easy to resell at close to their original value.
