Rear axle in my saxo is gone.
Does anyone know how much a 2nd hand one should cost?
    How much to fit?
Anywhere I could get one in Cork?

Just trying to get an approximate idea of what it'll set me back.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply martin.

Any idea how much a new axle would be?
In case I can't locate a second hand one?

A new axle would probably be more than the car is worth I take it the bearings in the centre are gone and the wheel is lying in you can replace these bearings but if its really bad the inside of the axle will be worn.

You shouldnt have any bother getting an axle just make sure the gap where the axle splits is the same all round.

What type of Saxo is it (Bog standard, VTR, VTS)?

I know where there is a complete 1.1 Saxo in a field, but if you're looking for a VTR axle, the 1.1 won't do (different torsional strength, disc brakes etc)
