    Cheers

I don't really get that. A stop over for a day for a few weeks.

Do you mean you are in Tahiti for a few weeks but Papeete for a day?

Anyways i was there for a wedding so just done some snorkling, played golf and rented a jeep to drive around the island. It's not that big so only takes a few hours with stopping off at places. Took a boat ride to some of the other Society islands. Morea (sp?) i think was one of them. That was where i done snorkling and shark feeding as it was much cheaper. I don't know anything about tours but i'm sure you could get someone to drive you around if you paid them enough. Some nice waterfalls and other scenic things. Or you could rent a bicycle for cheap. If you are just there for a day you'd wanna hope it's not Sunday as everything closes.

    Cheers Neamh,
I meant for 1 day in a few weeks but didn't take the time to read over the post !
    I think it's a sunday alright !
I had a look on couchsurfing and found a few places to stay so that could be my best bet to see the Island.
    Thanks for your help.
