Dying here, can't stream anything on the network I'm on now...

Watching the Rams-Jags game (which seems to actually be a tight and decent game) unfold via line-by-line text commentary... nothing sadder than shouting "COME ON DEFENSE" at a line of text that says "2nd and Goal from STL 1 - Jones-Drew right end (no gain)"

Wait, maybe there's something sadder... "3rd and Goal from STL 1 - Jones Drew middle (TOUCHDOWN)"

    How's everything else unfolding?

Tie ball-game. It's Rams defense vs. MJD by the looks of things though.

tight one in Bal/Min... 31-30 to the ravens with the ball in the redzone with the vikings in possesion at 2 minute warning. 4th and 6 to come.

EDIT: FG is good,33-31 now. Ravens have no timeouts left and just under 2 minutes to go

The chiefs beat the skins 14 - 6. Bye bye Jim Zorn.

Giants getting DESTROYED by the Saints. 48 - 20 at the moment, depressing stuff. defense has been just awful giving up over 500 yards. The pass rush has been non existent and the secondary have been shredded. the offense has been ok but they just cant keep up with Saints who are literally scoring on every possession. The injuries in the secondary to Ross and Phillips have really been exposed today.

Its no good. The vikings win.

well the raiders philly game is a whole lot of nothing. 2 punts for each team, 5 total yards of offense apiece. Nice sack by raiders D before the last philly punt at least :).

On russel watch, he is 3/4 for 11 yards

well theres the difference of not having a rookie kicker!

    (2:00) 8-R.Longwell 31 yard field goal is GOOD, Center-46-C.Loeffler, Holder-5-C.Kluwe.

(:02) 6-S.Hauschka 44 yard field goal is No Good, Wide Left, Center-70-M.Katula, Holder-4-S.Koch.

Got Lucky?? Brett Favre threw a perfect 56 yard bomb to Rice. Rice pulled it in even with the DB pulling out of his shirt.

TD Maroney finally it seems he has given up his dancing for direct routes could this be his turning point. 7 zip Pats.

 I take it you just dont like the Vikings or Favre. How can you say they got lucky? They were leading the game for most of it by 3 scores. Then Favre finishes them off. Nothing lucky about that pass.

What does his 56 yard bomb have to do with them not getting lucky?

Fact is, the D f'd up at the end and let Baltimore back into it and got lucky with a missed FG. Also, what a STUPID thing to do by letting your 1st round draft pick return punts & kickoffs with a banged up shoulder(Harvin got injured on a return). Coaching staff should be shot for doing that.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,066 ✭✭✭Sea Devils

Talk about the most inconsistent team in the NFL, one week Seattle is putting up 40 points and another week they look horrible. They just ran a fake punt for 60 yds though.

Because there was still 3 minutes left in the game and they were down by 1. The 56 yard bomb put them in field goal so regardless of what happened afterwards they still had the go ahead play within the final 3 mins. Sure their D sat back and gave up ground but there is nothing lucky about their offense tonight.

As for Harvin doing Kick returns and punt returns many 1st rounders have returned football in their first season especially guys like Harvin who are agile and fast as fook. Nothing odd there. The coaching staff probably felt his shoulder was good to go who knows only the trainer has that answer.

    What a play!!

Pats run a flea flicker and Brady hits Moss for the first time this season with a TD!!! 40 yards!

I agree in a close game like this you want your playmakers on the ball as much as possible and if Harvin goes in its because he was cleared by the team doctor/coaches that the risk was worth taking

Randy Moss and Tom Brady back on track fingers crossed two lovely throws for TD.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

    another TD for the pats!

Collins fumbled, recovered at the Ten 31, Brady hits moss again for a Td, god the titans are awful!

I still think it was a terrible call, especially when you got Berrian and Rice on your team. Let Harvin catch some balls on offense and forget about getting banged up on special teams for 1 game. Shoulder injuries can become very serious and you're always gunna feel contact on your shoulder pads returning.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,472 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

Sweet jesus the Titans are getting worse every week.

    move on pal!

if he wasnt ready to play he wouldnt have been on the field!

    it backfired, it happens!

was always going to be close to impossible to beat the vikings after giving them a 14 point start!

1, I said he shouldn't have been returning, I didn't say he should not have been playing. All I'm saying is it would have been safer if they didn't put him on returns for one week.

2, Since when is it 'almost impossible' to win when you are down by 2 TDs?. It's football FFS.

Big time that screen pass works so well when we give it to Faulk such a strong runner when you give him space and blocks. Check out Mankins block on that play.

ok, ill simplify it for you, the vikings are a pretty good well rounded team and are hard to pin back if the opposing team only manages a field goal in the whole first half

Im no watchin this game, what is happening to the Titans?

I know the secondary has been suspect but 38-0 before half time is beyond ridiculous

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Pats up by 38 now, surely the ref should stop this!

Nothing all round to be honest they are shockingly bad and the Patriots are playing well. The secondary are non existent right now. Bad blitzing calls being made to pressure Brady which isnt happening as the Patriots O-line have the Titans D in their pocket.

    Tom Brady 18-19, 4 TD's, 301 yards.

    Absolutely insane.

The Vikes D were terribly lazy this week. First time all season. But the Vikes Offense were on fire and there was nothing lucky about an Offense playing that well pulling a win out of the hat down by 1 with 3 mins on the clock.

With officially five Touchdowns now. He passed for the same amount in one half against the Dolphins two years ago Thought he set the record.

45-0 before the half, we must be on course for record territory at this stage, is brady still in the game?
