Acer VTx trouble

    Hi all,

Looking for a few tips- I'm installing Windows 7 Ultimate on an Acer 8930G and obviously am very interested in using the XP Compatability mode. Unfortunately- Acer have seen fit (for reasons beyond me) to disable VTx support at a BIOS level (its that new UEFI Insyde o2 BIOS)- and haven't left any way to enable support. You need VTx support to use a virtual operating system- has anyone heard of anyone who has managed to successfully enable it?

I've tried rewriting the module and deploying it with the Acer BIOS tool- and while I didn't brick the laptop (miracle of miracles) I also didn't enable VTx.......

    Any ideas?
