Have to say I'm not the biggest fan of 3S but it is a fun game to watch.

Yeah you gotta put the spoilers up. I remember I was watching the recorded EVO stream. Hadn't checked any sites so as to avoid any spoilers. About half-way through the final day, my boss let slip that Daigo won. Gutted is not the word.

Oh yeah, "out-of-practice" Daigo is freaking scary... but Issei more so. Air-parrying EX Tatsu, parrying midway through Ken's Super->launch combo... let's hope SSFIV gives us a chance to catch up!

You should get the barfights stuff. He uses Cammy in those fights. He only has like two fights but I would say it's a good example of what she can do.

He picked Cammy vs Daigo in the teams tourney and beat him

edit: Wong knocked Daigo into losers, Daigo beat LI Joe to get to finals, beat Wong in finals by learning the fei long matchup at hyperspeed.

If Wong had learned how to link off of the chicken wing properly, he would have won that match. I think he nailed it twice in the entire match.....and got punished atleast five times for big damage.

That is Fei Long's big weapon and if you can't do it consistently, you shouldn't pick him. Once Daigo figured out that he couldn't do it, there was only going to be one winner.

Don't think it can be done off every EX Chicken Wing. As far as I know it depends on how deep it lands.

Pretty obvious that that's what he's doing imo. I don't think it's "desperate" when there's a lot of money on the line though.

He won a competition the other week using only Fei.

He's probably better with Fei than 99% of Fei players out there.

I wouldn't class it as desperation. Daigo doesn't have extensive console matchup experience, it was quite clever. It would be stupid to keep hammering away with Rufus against Daigo as thats a loser every time.

But he needs to stop switching all the time. Seth, Sagat, Abel, Balrog, Fei Long.....He has tried to unlock diago with all of them but he doesn't know them intimately enough. There are better Fei longs out there than Justin's one. Guys who main him exclusively. He should pick a "Daigo alt" that he uses against him and stick with it. Learn every efficient combo, learn the spacing inside and out. He's good enough to beat him. His execution let him down in that final.

No I agree with what your saying. But I think give any of the TOP players any character and they could be very good very quick. It's because of a deep understanding of the basics of the game.

I still think he should pick a character and stick!! Lets be honest Daigo isn't going to spring any surprises on him :rolleyes:
