Howdy folks, I thought I would offer my services here and a few other sites around the emerald isle. I recently broke away from a band that played a lot of crowd pleasing material. I suppose against my better judgment I went with the flow and decided to break away from my blues background and thread gently in a totally different environment to that which I am used to. I actually enjoyed it pretty much and felt I definitely progressed as a guitarist in uncertain waters. I played stuff that I thought I would never play and for that I suppose I can put on my "MUSICALLY FLEXIBLE" hat.
I have been playing a long time and I am now in my mid thirties so I suppose I should mention I'm not looking to jam with teenagers as we probably would be on slightly different wavelengths (but probably not all that much as mentally I'm still a 17 year old :D )
I have my own car, Guitar and a lovely, recently acquired Dr Z Maz 18 that's just rearing to be gigged. I've also been complimented on my vocals manys a time and have no probs doing backing or main vox on the odd song here and there.
I play acoustic, electric , rhythm or lead whatever floats the ould boat....
Check out some of my playing here...quality sucks however and some solo stuff here
Anyways I'm mad to keep the fire burning so give us a shout eh?
I'm based near Drogheda so ideally I'd like to hear from people around Meath, Louth and North Dublin
    Thanks for reading..Fingers

    Hi Fingers

We're lookin for a Lead Guitarist for our band 9THLIFE.
We're based in Westmeath (Near Kinnegad). We have a practice space and small recording studio there. Our Drummer travels from Leixlip and the bassist travels from Portlaois so we're very commited to gettin this band up and running. We have gigs lined up for Late Nov and Dec and we have a manager in place. We have some tunes on www.myspace.com/9thlifemetal so you can check them out and let me know if this would be of interest to you. Our age range is from 26 to 41.

    Thanx.

    Colzed.

    Colzed,

I had previously checked out the distance on googlemaps and it would be working out as a 3hr round trip to kinnegad from where I am so apologies. I'd love to hook up otherwise. :)

fingaz, why not start something else, I'm a bass player grew up with all them bite the bullet sounds, funk blues (stevie etc brownie@ sonny, santana) on guitar but play bass now
you have a good sound so why not?

cheers 88 ...I dunno about getting a band off the ground...so bloody difficult. Last band took 2 years to get a decent setlist off...Ideally I'd like to join a band that's already set up or even half set up. Where do you hail from yourself anyway?

mate i'm in lucan, would throw the rig in the back and head on over if you want to meet up.
stick on that japanese drummer and way you go.
we're bout the same age and I'm only guessing the same groove/background influence
    pm and see what's what
