Coil Pack for Mazda MX5

My car ('99 MX5, 1.6l) died a death last week. It cut out as I was driving (no odd noises or stuttering, and yes, there is petrol in it :P ) and hasn't started since! It'll turn over no bother, but there's just no spark there. I was pretty miserable seeing it on a tow truck :o

Anywho, I've had a mechanic look at it and he says I need to get a coil pack for it. From what I've read online, these seem to be a bit dodge in the MX5 anyway. I've found one here, but I'd like to find one cheaper/nearer if possible. Mazda Ireland are charging €569 for a new one

If any of you have any ideas, they'd be greatly appreciated!

Did you try your local motor factors?

    Did you try ebay?

Is it shared with any other Mazdas that you could get it from your nearest breaker?

I have been emailing the seller on ebay. I just have to wait for money to go onto the CC but I've been looking elsewhere in the meantime.

From what I see, they're pretty specific to the model and engine size unfortunately. I've mailed a few of the bigger motor factor places, and will start making calls in the morning.

I hate not being able to go for drives!
