    Hi

I'm using comodo firewall and avg free on my pc. Is this enough to adequately protect me from downloading something nasty?

I would probably get a paid AV package, there not that expensive these days. Most of the free AV software program aren't that great and won't delete some viruses. Depends what your downloading, the AV program isn't going to tell you that you are downloading a virus, a bit it of common sense will stop most of the viruses
