    This is a bit weird and not sure it belongs in the RI but anyways...

    Met this guy recently....whatever...and wasn't expecting to see him again. Then out of the blue, he sends me a FB friend request.

    I accepted it cause I thought he was going to make an approach but nada

    I'm just a bit confused about this. I mean, why bother? Tbh, I would have been happier if he hadn't bothered at all cause now I feel a bit rejected and cross cause i feel i've been disappointed

    Anyone else had this happen to them? Is the guy just a weirdo for doing this?

    Maybe he just wanted another "friend" on facebook.

    Maybe he wants to talk to you but is too shy.

    Maybe you should send him a message saying hi.

    If he doesn't respond delete him and move on.

    Maybe he sent you a friend request just to see if you would accept?

    And now he is waiting for you to send him a message.

    Maybe he's not 100% sure if he has the right facebook profile and doesn't want to look like an idiot by bringing up having met you if you turned out to be the wrong person.

    he could just be shy and sending you a friend request was he way of breaking the ice so to speak!!
    I agree that you should sent him a very casual mail, saying something like'Hey thanks for the add!!! Hows things going??'
    If he doesnt reply unfortunately it will be a lesson learned and delete him and move on
