Well basically I sent my laptop but they said there was a spillage and it's water damage

I think someone spilled something on it...anyway

    Is £175+VAT

I suppose it depends on how much it would cost to replace.

Depends on how bad the damage is and how much is the laptop worth.

If it has destroyed the motherboard then probably best they repair it.

If it needs a new keyboard you can generally buy a new one on Ebay and it's fairly easy to change.

    What exactly is damaged?

How long is a piece of string? ;)

What did the laptop cost, how old is it, what are its specs?
What do they have to replace?
Questions that need answers to figure out if the repair is viable.

£175 (pounds sterling right?) + 15% UK Vat (if its in pounds sterling it'll be uk vat?) is £201 and change, times the currency difference to get to Euro's...
Put it towards a new laptop, unless of course its a Dell XPS M1730 or some beast you pumped thousands into originally...

    Inspiron 1525

    4gb ram
    Duo core processor

Only a year and a half old...

I'm thinking if I get it sent back...get this barlcays account upgrade that insures you for gadgets and then send it back to be fixed?

    Thoughts?
