Vodafone are doing a great deal at the moment where you can give back to your GAA team if you sign up to a Vodafone bill pay account. Vodafone will donate 5% of your bill to your local GAA. You don't have to pay for the 5% and Your local club benefits from the extra income stream.

If you want any more detail, let me know... It's a great way to support your team!! We all know that they are looking for some extra Cash at the moment. Let all of your GAA team know. It can be a great way for everyone to save money, and make money for your team.

if you sign up to a Vodafone bill pay account

If they really cared they'd give 5% of current subscribers.

If I want to support my local club I'll go to their games and contribute to them directly. I don't feel that I have to give Vodafone 95% of my money to see 5% go to a club.

Frankly I wouldn't give Vodafone the steam off my urine. Appalling company imo.

Oh by the way as you are not a regular boards user I would suggest you read the guidelines on company reps in the Boards section, If you are associated with Vodafone you need to disclose that at the outset.

See this is the issue... an opinion of a decent offer... automatically suggests that i am in someway associated with vodafone....

For a start, with the state of the GAA club's finances at the moment. Every euro helps. Point to note, that they do give 5% to current subscribers. With little difference seperating the networks at this stage, those who are paying a bill can give back to their club, without it going to vodafones pocket.

Those who are paying a bill to another network who provide nothing to a club that people represent and support can easily have the money that goes to the other 3 networks... going to their club. Choosing between any of the networks is like choosing between the best of two(or 4) evils....

Something is better than nothing at all.... we all get ripped by the networks, i'd just prefeer to ripped 5% less and for it to go to a place where it can used for something other than driving profits. Whatever other network you are with i'm sure gladly accept the steam off your piss.... why wouldn't they?! Money in their pocket... Which helps who?! You?! Your club?! it's attitudes like this... and simple begrudging, lack of willingness to make a change... which keeps the clubs in the red...

Just a suggestion, if you would prefeer to contribute directly, why not give 5% of your bill/credit spend every month to your club..... see how a small gesture (like that of vodafones) can make a decent difference.

Well the fact that you have just turned up to Boards harping on about how great Vodafone and their offer is makes me wonder to be honest.

I see a huge difference between the networks and have been with all of them at one stage or another and from personal experience have found Vodafone to be the absolute pits and the worst of them all.

I am heavily involved in my club and don't feel the need to line Vodafone's pockets to give me some vague feeling of well being.

The GAA's coffers aren't too shabby at the moment from what I can see, it's lack of local volunteers that we seem to struggle with.

I'm glad you suggest giving 5% or your annual credit card bill to a local club. Great idea. So, best of luck spreading the word but I wouldn't go near Vodafone if they were giving 50% back to the GAA to be honest.
