    Basically my class at college are thinking about going on a trip abroad. We're in UL so it'll be from Shannon and I checked out everywhere Ryanair flies to at the time we're thinking of going (mid November) and its going to have to be one out of these places;

    London
    Glasgow
    Liverpool
    Brussels
    Paris

    Which would be the best for a student weekend holiday? Beer being the chief concern :D

    For students, Liverpool.

    Paris and Brussels are very expensive places to be going on the lash. London can be very hit and miss. I've never been to Glasgow, but nothing I've heard would convince me to go there for a weekend!

    At least with Liverpool, it's a good student town and they'd be used to groups of students looking for a cheap night out. (or have students become more affluent since my day)

    If it was me it would depend on if there was any football match or rugby or racing in any of those places on the weekend you want to travel. I have been on the lash in all of those places and they are all ok. Scotland and Liverpool would be the cheapest for what you are after anyway.

    Thanks for the replies guys, appreciate it! Yeah basically I'm thinking somewhere with Vodka & Red Bulls for £1 would go down very well indeed. Looking like Liverpool or Glasgow I'm guessing.

    Glasgow definitely, its such a great city and has/is being transformed ahead of the 2010 Commonwealth Games (i think). The night life is great and has a great student population anyway. And the shopping is all in a few centre areas so that will give ye something else to do too!
