i was thinking of getting a set of golf clubs for my 3 old nephew and saw these on line, are these the best option, they are €100 in McGuirks

    www.golfonline.co.uk/kids-red-boys-starter-set-years-p-1800.html

also is 3 too young to get a child started, he is well able to swing a hurley and make contact with the ball

I gave my godson a set for his third birthday - his dad wants him to go fishing so I had to do something to save the poor lad. I found a kid's set in Smyths for about €30. They're not proper clubs - obviously - but they're not plastic rubbish either. The balls are lightweight things, and just as well: he hit his first attempt across the room. I've been to Paddy Power already!

Go to the sports direct department in heatons or elverys for a junior set - i got one for my 6 y/o daughter for €40. (€35 in elverys)

It has a driver, 3,5 & 9 irons, putter and bag.

If you go into McGuirks in Blanch upstairs they have a load of the US Kids clubs so you may not have to buy the whole set. Think they do packs with a little wedge and a putter. Might be a better and less expensive option.

Id take the 3 and 5 out of that set and throw in a hybrid.

LOL, they way she's hitting the driver i'll be taking that off her soon as well!! Even though i have a large garden she's already hitting it 70-odd yards out into a field, lots and lots of lost balls. I reckon the cows are eating them at this stage!

Sounds like a good swap. What type of clubs are they?

    Sorry, misunderstood.
