Anyone else getting about 15 calls a day from this crowd?

The number that comes up at 0011177, seems to be an Indian crowd trying to get eircom customers to change.

My father told them to stop ringing last night.
I told them twice today (after calling 14 times already while we were all at work) and one of them started arguing with me saying she couldnt believe I didn't want to save any money! ARGGH

Rang eircom to let them know and they couldnt have given a ****e!

I was getting calls from Nigeria a few weeks back. Didn't stay on long enough to find out what they wanted.

If somebody rings me from an odd number and asks me my name I hang up.

I got a call from one of these.. Started chatting..

He asked if I would like to switch. I asked switch what ? Oh your broadband. I said no thank's. He proceeds to tell me his company can't be beat on price. I had a phone bill beside me so I told him how much it was, I get free line rental from smart, the deal they done along time ago.

Left him speechless, I asked if they could do better than it ring me back.

Needless to say, never heard from them again.

What really annoyed me was that they would just call and call and call and call. They would ring twice in a row, then 2 hours later ring again, then two hours later again etc etc. I was going through the missed calls on the house phone today and couldnt believe it!

Also the fact that yesterday my da was here and after 4 calls (one at 8pm at night!) he told them he wasnt interested and not to call. 15 calls later and me giving your one a stern talking to and they appear to have stopped. Sheesh!

Ive worked in sales myself but jaysus, this was the most aggresive form of selling I have ever come across!

Buy a whistle.

Answer phone when offending number rings.

Blow whistle as loud as you can at the phone.

Repeat as needed if they call back.

Living in the states and prior to the do not disturb list being introduced, I got these calls on a daily basis.

Nothing worst than coming home from work, sitting down to have dinner with my Family and these b astards begin to call.

5:30pm and as sure as you can be, the fookers would call. Survey's, market research, trying to sell me the latest and greatest s hite.

I found myself getting pissed of and screaming at the pricks at the end of the phone.

The calls kept on coming and I decided not to get mad but wind them up. I can do a wonderful thick County Kerry accent. So of they go and ask me their questions.

With any question they would ask, I would retort with a question of the most stupid type and continue this. They would end up hanging up on me after 3 questions and not call back.

I had some crack with these guys and had a lot of great laughs.. For me it stopped 95% of the cold calls i would get.

When the do not call list became available I added myself and it helped more. Every so often we would get a call or two but it has more or less stopped.

Have some fun with them, wind them up and have a laugh. Don't give them the satisfaction of getting p issed off.
