Harchibald is the perennial underachiever and will in my opinion continue to be over fences. I don't know how much more Meade will get out of him at this age.

ill never forget the day harchi jumped the last at cheltenham cruising
upsides hardy eustace delighted that my day was goin to start with a
    15/2 winner
You couldnt help but be confident watching it but it wasnt to be
    ill never forget it
it amazed me how short his price was at times even when the ground was unsuitable
and when the ground was unsuitable (especially heavy) for harchi you could always put a
line through him tho when he had his ground he seemed to travel like
a dream over class horses and win on the bridle...sadly when he came off
the bridle he'd give you a heart attack when the money was down
    rarely finding a lot
he was a class horse nonetheless

Except of course when McCoy gave him an amazing ride in Fairyhouse to win in a mud bath.

    So there goes that theory.

maybe he won a race on soft ground in fairyhouse
    as for mccoy?
maybe you're thinking of a different horse?
    he never rode him
I probably should have said he never won on heavy ground

I really should have had my coffee this morning, of course it's Brave Inca I'm thinking of.
