Pausing on my Sky HD - not when I want it to...

    Hi there
I have a new Sky HD box since July.
All good, but for the last 2 weeks or so, it has begun 'pausing' intermittently. The 'pause' lasts for around a second, and then it catches up with the live programme. Any suggestions, or have I gone mad?
    Thanks

Switch off box, unplug and leave for two minutes, switch it back on again.
Usually the first port of troubleshooting on these boxes.

Also, check all cable connections into the box. Was there high wind recently, could your dish have moved slightly?

    Thanks Kippy
    I'll try the re-boot...
I live in Tallaght, so strong winds are common - if the wind has managed to move the dish, what would be involved there?

Might be worth starting from here, theres a part on checking signal strength etc:

If the dish has moved you'll need to get it re-alligned, usually you'll need an installer to do that.
It could be other things (loose cables) but that link should help you troubleshoot.
