    Folks
So I'm running a sky box just for the freeview channels through the SKY system. Recently I;ve notice that my BBC scheduling is difference to what it should. i.e. Jonathan Ross was on later than normal on Friday night but was on the correct time on what seems to be BBC NI to me.

Last night masterchef was supposed to be on on BBC 2 at 21:45 but it wasn't on what I thought was BBC2 but rather BBC 2 NI.

I've powered down the box perhaps it will reset....anyone got any ieas...seems to be since the re-programming a few weeks ago...

    Ta
    Will.

Sky are always arsing up the EPG and software on their boxes. If you have "no card" in the box though, my understanding (and also according to the BBC website (link below)) is that 101 / 102 are set by default to BBC 1 London and BBC 2 England, with no regional variation. It should say in the Guide which region you're on, i.e. BBC 1 London or BBC 1 NI. Schedules tend to differ in the likes of NI and Scotland. All the regions should be there, starting at channel 971, so maybe have a look up there to see if there's any problems.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/info/channels_sky.shtml

If you're on BBC 1 London (with no card) on 101, and are looking at listings in the RTE Guide, or Newspaper, there will be differences, as all the papers here publish the NI listings.

If it's a problem with the EPG Guide and the wrong times showing up, it could be (if you have a free to view card in) that the card has been de-activated, as they're replacing cards. If this happened, maybe the card is still reading EPG data from whatever region it was registered to, but showing the picture from London??

Best bet, pull the card out, mains out, leave for 5 mins, plug back in and don't bother with the card.

Jonathan Ross was shown at the normal time on the English and Welsh versions on BBC One. Scotland and Northern Ireland had it later than the usual time for local programming.

    Hi Will,

No you're not. Freeview is the UK's DTT and has nothing to do with Sky (or satellites for that matter). :)

On 28.2 E you either get Free to View (FTV) or Free to Air (FTA). FTV you need a non subscription card and nothing needed for FTA.

Sorry for being an @rse but they are all different things ;)
