The Toyota Arse Auris facelift has been revealed.

I think they've really cracked this bland and dumpy thing it has to be said:pac:

Dear god. It's not ugly, just... *yawn*

That said, since I've arrived in Australia I've gone right off the Omega/Commodore. Sweet Jebus there's one for every man, woman and Ford. Every time I see one I want to laugh out loud.

I actually think its worse than before!

That interior looks worse anyway, there after squaring the air vents. That is just a hideous looking thing, full stop! No wonder they are no longer too many people buying the corolla hatchback, i.e THIS. Seems to be a lot more saloons around, and thats hardly much better looking!

    FAIL toyota, remember this lot....

    PowerhorseOldFolks.preview.jpg

...dont like things like name changes. They should have stuck with the corolla name, whatever about the hideous look of the thing

Thirty-six years ago the Austin Allegro introduced the world to squared off steering wheels.

There is a reason why no car since, ever, ever, was designed with a squared off steering wheel.

This is what happens when you replace years of development experience with some whiz kid designer straight out of college.

    Not clever.

????I could probably name 10 cars off the top of my head that have the squared off steering wheel without even going near google...
Even my corsa has a squared off steering wheel

Sir - you impune the language !! The Bravo is a great car!! :D:D

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

OK, they have changed the grille or something. Why is there a whole thread on this?

Jeez we will have threads announcing when Korean manufacturers change the design of wheel trims on their blandsmobiles next.

I have been working for the past 14 hours or more. I clicked the link expecting to see Toyota have mended their ways. But no, only something that made my eyes very sore. You should be banned for such reckless and thoughtless behavior.

And why are people saying it looks like a Tiida? Of course it F**king looks like a Tiida. It also looks like a Golf, a i30, a Kia whatchamacallit, a focus, a yaris, and like a generic car a child would draw... and they want to bring in a scrappage to sell even more of this dross.

The day they started putting batteries in their cars things were only going to get worse, they're rocketing to the number 1 place for bland and boring cars for sure, I don't think there's a decent looking car in the whole range now. They look more like domestic appliances than cars.:o

But that's gorgeous! Bung on 17" alloys, combine it with a 180bhp D4D and you've got a fantastic car. And no, that's not sarcasm.

Meh...personally I don't get the humour of the whole thing. It's all very ho-hum Clarksonesque and anyone finding this humourous is demonstrating as little imagination as the original Toyota designers who came up with this blandmoblie! Not worth 3 pages of ha-has unless you're 12 yrs old...

The Auris is a white-good product for people who don't care about cars - there are lots of them about. Pretty inoffensive all-round...

The thing about is that it doesn't just affect people who buy it, fair enough some people have zero interest in what their car looks like and just want to get easily from A to B, but the rest of us will have to sit there stuck in traffic looking at that along side us.

Each to their own I suppose. Only an attempt at something more lighthearted in this place as opposed to the usual bah humbug that it's full of lately. If you like that thing though;)

Philistines. It's far better looking then the previous model. It screams 'sleeper' if you stick a remap on it. I just love the look of it, it's efficient, quiet, comfortable and has a great autobox.

Now I just have to wait until it depreciates below €6000. Shouldn't be long :D
