    Friend is after smashing the TFT panel, all is ok otherwise,

    Can anyone recommend where to get a new TFT panel

    I found this company in the Uk, has anyone every used them>

    Might know where there is a second hand one for you. Would need to know the part number from the rear of the screen.

    I have one for an inspiron 9400. Not sure if it'll work with the 1720 or if it even works. Should be able to check if it works at the weekend. If it works I'd be willing to sell it.

    Never heard of lcd4less but try rolta.co.uk. A friend of mine used to work for a company and this is where they got their screens. He highly recommends them. I've never used them though.
