Was thinking of ordering this from www.wildwestjerky.co.uk to eat as a snack & to up protein intake. Tried it in the US & loved the stuff but just wondering is laced with preservatives & salt which negate any benefits from extra protein?

I buy this from time to time as a protein snack, it wouldn't be ideal though as, from reading the packets, there tends to be sugar added as part of the favouring (BBQ, smoke, teriyaki etc)
So research the different sets of ingredients a pick the best one. I'd prefer add salt over sugar personally

The jerking process is what preserves it, so I can't see it being loaded with preservatives.

Flavouring more so than perserving, its could be done with nothing but beef. But that would be bad enough for you for the americans

Does any shop in Dublin sell this or is online your best bet?

    Thanks.
