Goal - lower weight and get fit
Both Cardio and Weight Training 2/3 weights 1/3 Cardio
    Workouts Mornings and Evenings

Already seeing results but for optimum benefit what/when should I eat on the days I work out? Before or after, high protein, carbs etc. What time gaps to leave?

Should I possibly restrict mornings to Cardio/Weights only?

    Thanks for any replies

Before you concern yourself with optimal meal timing around workouts, what is your current diet?

Until this is dialled in, there's really no point trying to optimise anything else.

Not concerned about Diet - has had some effect over last 3 months - now I ma concerned about when and what is best to eat on days when I work out

strict rule - nothing white (pasts/rice/breads or spuds)

    bkfast - Porridge/maybe Muesli once a week
Lunch - Grilled Meat/Fish with salads or soups or cottage cheese with additions
Dinner - Steak/Home made burger (no bun)/Lamb or pork chops, lots veg (no spuds except sweet), lots of lentils/pulses/Stews

Snacks - Fruits mostly berries/ Handful Nuts/home made smoothie using low fat yogurt

    3/4 Litres Water

ok, firstly your diet is pretty good IMO ... you will defo lift better after a complex carb meal like porridge .. however if your not going to failure and also for most cardio you can do it anytime really as long as not just after a meal ...

    How I do it is

Pre workout: chicken sandwich granary bread

Immediately Post workout, Shake & banana

    1 hour later
Protein & carbs based meal (I try and keep fats as low as possible here)
