Sorry for this bucket load of questions, but I know you guys are the best folks to ask.

Looking for a new Sky installation - never been a customer before.
Want to get the dish mounted on the chimney, of a two story, semi-d, house. Must be on chimney to get clear line-of-sight.
Want an Octo LNB, with all outputs wired into the attic.

Prior to installation, I want to have two cables, for Sky +, fed internally, to my sitting room (currently using aerial co-ax).
I want 1 cable fed to my kitchen, and one to my bedroom - both currently co-ax. I have no satellite decoders for these rooms yet, but may pick up some second hand ones on adverts.
I'm quite able to do this pre-wiring myself. Installer will just need to connect to cables going to sitting room, using standard F-connectors.

Other 4 cables I want terminated. Will hook these up to other rooms at a later date.

    Here's my questions:

    1. What's my best option for Sky Installation, atm, is it half price Sky+ box, or introduce a friend? I just want the €21.50/month package.
    2. How much is an Octo LNB from Sky?
    3. Would I be better/cheaper to supply my own Octo LNB?
    4. Instead of monthly direct debit, can I pay the yearly fee, up front?
    5. What type of satellite cable is the best for internal routing?
    6. What's the latest news on RTE 1 & 2 becoming FTA?

Lastly, any advice on suitable installers in the Letterkenny, Co.Donegal, area?

    Thanks.

Thanks John mac, I'll just go for the Sky+ & Introduce A Friend, I don't have a HD TV, and no immediate plans to change the HUGE lump of a CRT TV I currently have :D

Can't pay up front - nuts!

ct100 - thanks for that info.

you can mount the dish on a stand off bracket, so you wont need to use the chimney.

I am sure steveon and other installers will give more info.
