    Is it possible to put a bigger HDD into a Humax Freesat Pvr ?

    Yes, but safer not to go higher than 1tb and it invalidates your warranty.

    The western ditigal EAVS/EEVS drives are the most reccomended, you can get them on elara.ie fairly cheaply (if collected there is no delivery charge). Google "Humax hdr hard drive upgrade" for instructions, plenty out there.

    I am not sure that this is true anymore, the earlier models had a sticker which needed to be broken before you opened the box which invalidated the warranty. The newer boxes dont seem to come with the sticker anymore.

    if you put the old drive back in, Humax may turn a blind eye but they could, technically, refuse to repair any boxes that have been opened. Even without the sticker, this could be easy to spot (screwdriver marks on the screws).

    Anyway, I'll soon find out because mine is not working and I opened the box (but did not remove the drive). Now, where's that damn receipt...
