    I may have posted something similar to this before,with the search function down i cant find it.

    I am unable to sleep,its now after 4am here and this isnt the first night its being happening. Regardless of if i just lie in bed tossing and turning or read a book i cant drop off to sleep. Its at the stage where its annoying me a lot.

    Any suggestions on how i can get to sleep,maybe a method you try or something? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

    Same boat... very late/off to bed now...my explanations are lengthy in nature...will para-phrase...

    - Are you active?
    - Do your days fulfill you? Working? Studying? Socialising enough?
    - If not, do you feel like going to sleep may cause u to "miss something"?
    - Do u excercise regularly?
    - Do you mentally challenge yourself daily, and if so, do you do this within one or two hours before bed?
    - Do you stress about "now only having 4 hours before having to get up" etc?

    Insomnia is a state of mind, usually a state we put ourselves in with our other behaviours. Tire yourself out every day, physically and mentally, but not too close to bedtime. Don't stress about how long left till u have to be up, remember that you will get thru tomorrow regardless of how much sleep u have tonight, and at least you'll sleep well then.
