    hey does ne1 know much about these? i know a bit about them but im not too sure what are the best types to get. im thinkin about buyin a kit so any push in the right direction would be great!

    You can check out any of the Roland stuff, depending on your budget you can go for something like the HD1. The best one you can get in terms of quality / value is the TD9 in IMO.

    There are also kits like the DD03 from Hayman. They are about €499 or so.

    The Yamaha DTXplorer is a good place to start also, i would recommend that you stay clear of the Ion budget electric kits that were about a few years ago!

    Ya rowlands are sposed to be pretty reliable.. would you recomend ordering a set of thomann?!

    I'd recommend having a browse through adverts.ie, I've seen a few kits there recently.

    If your looking for a new kit, I've never had any problems with thomann. But check the prices on some of the british music sites first cos theres a good chance it'll work out cheaper.

    In terms of the kit, get as many mesh heads as you can. they make such a huge difference after banging on those rubber ones all day!
