    http://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/manny-pacquiao-v-miguel-angel-cotto/win-market

9/5 at sportingbet seems the best for the win market.

Is anyone consider better on this fight btw? I think Cotto is a good pick.

Stick 1000 on Cotto, get a 2800 return.

If you are on the betfair exchange , then i think its better to wait till the day of the fight .

All these people tuning in get to see highlights of cotto's contraversial win over clottey .... then Pac-mans recent outstanding displays .

The general public have little perception about how important the weight issue is in boxing.

heavy betting expected to be placed on Manny (in my opinion) ,.... resulting in a much more generous odds price for Cotto !
This fight is much more 50/50 in reality .

I'll be going on Cotto here , and expect to get 5/2 or more by fight night .

Alright, thanks for the tip. :)

I never bet on fights but if its even enough fight shop around.
When kahn fought barerra some places had kahn the favourite, some some had MAB. the bookies were split like that so maybe check different websites as well cause usually there is very little difference.

    From Paddy Power:

    Cotto points or decision: 6/1

    Cotto KO/TKO: 3/1

If you're convinced that Cotto's going to win, surely there's enough value to back both?

    Good point.

A lot of the money is on Pac due to his two 'outstanding' wins vs.
Hatton and Oscar. I think the smart money could be on Cotto here, providing
he doesn't have to train to hard to drop the two required lbs. He comes in handy at 145 and rehydrates very well, weighing 153 or 154 on the night, then this could prove very beneficial. 3-1 on Cotto would be great to get and if I get it, I'll stick a ton on this one.

The Odds have started to shift now , and at some pace it would seem.

Cotto 23/10 - to win the fight . Boylesports
Expect it to settle @ 11/4 or 3/1 on the day of the fight (in my opinion).

Cotto by KO is 10/3 in Ladbrokes ,
Expect close to a little over 7/2 on the day (in my opinion)

Im going on Cotto here ..... this is 50/50 fight .
And only for the hype machine , I would have made Cotto a slight favourite.

Cotto wont have any trouble making 145lbs , as he usually comes in at 146 on the day of his fight regardless.
He's not really a big welterweight anyway .

If he can give Mosley such a close fight , then I cant see him having much trouble with Pac's power.

It just remains to be seen if Cotto's timimg can null Pac's speed ??????

Truth be known , we dont really know how camps have been going , and whether either have suffered any injuries or mishaps . And we cant know the current state of mind of either fighter to be honest .

We can only consume what we are fed by the media , and that is very very limited in boxing . Partially due to the secretive nature of both camps .

Lots of good stuff in the 3 part HBO 24/7 series. Doubt if posting a link to it here would be considered Queensbury rules, but any manner of search ought to be fruitful.

I like Cotto for this by the way. The 5/2 now available is an astonishing price.

I've got 50 on Cotto at 5/2 will probably throw another 50 on him tomorrow.

I'm starting to sway more to a Cotto win and think alot of people are underestimating him, maybe some just don't know how good he is.

    PP.com
Manny Pacquiao - Points or Decision 7/2
Miguel Angel Cotto - Points or Decision 15/2

    These odds are crazy.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 968 ✭✭✭ODD-JOB

    Pac points /dec - 4/1
    Cotto points/dec - 8/1
    Ladbrooks

    or

    Pac P/dec - 5/1
    Cotto p/dec - 10
    Betfair

    The weigh - in : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4iHuYmhvAE

    Manny 144lbs - Cotto 145lbs exactly !
Manny looks bloated out , and Cotto's arms look skinnyier than I ever seen .
Side by side Manny looks bigger for some reason.

Still going on Cotto for this one . He should be a fair bit heavier than Pac by tomorrow

I think you could place a few bets and stil cover your ass either way with this fight.
    Some unreal odds.

    Thanks for that ODD JOB

cotto drifted to 13/5 on boyles
    I put €40 on cotto pts/td at 8-1 and pacman pts/td at 4-1
They are refunding losing bets if cotto wins by ko in an even numbered rnd.

I got Cotto at 7/2 for a stoppage and also at 20/1 to get floored and go on to win the fight.

This fight is 50/50 imo and considering that the odds available for Cotto are fantastic.

I thought Cotto looked very average against Clottey. I will not be betting on the fight but I do expect Pacman to win it. He is just too fast for Cotto imo.

Everybody thought Shane Mosley would be too fast for him. This fight is impossible to predict.

indeed. that fact is what's bugging me. mosley was the more powerful and quicker man and cotto found a way to beat him. if pacman can't hurt cotto early on i see cotto prevailing late on

There is a huge difference in the speed of Pacman and Mosley. I cannot see Cotto being able to get near Manny. I honestly only see one result and thats a stoppage win for Pacquiao.

Zab Judah was very close to pacquiao in speed I would say.

Just put £10 on Pacman points win at 4/1 at Ladbrokes and another £10 on a Cotto points win at 10/1 on Bet365

Cotto corner where going to stop the fight in round 10 but let continue, even it had gone to a points decision, Cotto still would have lost.
