    Hello there,

Whats the Pygmalion like as a venue? I assume its a different place to the bar on the ground floor of Powerscourt Centre?

Been there a couple of times myself, and have enjoyed myself everytime!

I'ts a small enough venue...well, at least the dancefloor / main room is. The rest of the venue consists of neat little rooms and a fairly big bar which is glassed off facing the inside of powerscourt centre. The crowd has always been pleasant too.

Yeah, count me in folks! Can't wait for this...

For those of you who missed Sian last night, he will be playing at the Sycamore club today (3pm to 9pm). He played a GREAT set last night, as did Funk D'Void.

Good. You made a good attempt at ruining most peoples night.

    Haha,

    Douchebag

Music wise last night was excellent, but was it a competitions to see how many tossers into one club? Seriously the place was swarming with them. At one point there where 3 or 4 girls on the dancefloor dancing in a circle with their bags on the floor. It seemed to be a plce where people just wanted to be seen.
One punter came up to the DJ box to ask was the filter still on in an attempt to seem like he knew more than pan-pot. I seen a sugar daddy with a bird half his age. Apart from this and the countless others the night was excellent.

Oh and what was with the sanatra style tune at about ten to 3? Total buzz kill they managed to salvage it before the end doe thank god.

Highlight of the evening for me was blagging our way past the bouncers after being initially refused. On told it was regulars only, Dave quickly said "Why would you get a DJ over from Berlin for your regulars" followed by me pleeding and telling them id name pan-pot's last five releases :-)

Am so annoyed I missed this, was just too tired after Sian the night before.

Thought it was great but the dance floor is too small. 'Confronted' at the end was savage too! VJ u must look dodgy- i had no such issues at the door!

sounds like you have many, many chips on your shoulder MATE. i'd much rather have a club filled with the sort of people you mention above than angry, spiteful individuals like you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,541 ✭✭✭Davei141

Flashes going off every few seconds as people constantly posing and taking pictures of themselves in the already cramped DJ room were people are trying to dance, that wouldn't bother you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭deadbeat

it would bother me less than some dude standing there with an aggro head on him, scowling at people all night ("state of him, state of her etc..")...anyway in any situation, positive people having fun > angry negative people

Somebody constantly knocking into you on a dance floor while they form a circle to take a load of pictures for facebook, if thats what you dig then fine, but if im going to see pan pot i would like it to be in the company of people who enjoy his tunes and enjoy dancing to his tunes, not people who took a wrong turn going to coppers, thank you.

as would i. but if it was a choice between those people or a group of people with VinylJunkie's attitude i'd take the happy snappers any day.

Far from it, I realized rather quickly that I would just have to ignore this carry on and enjoy my night.

Have you ever met me? I'm far from angry, If this type of carry one is your cup of tea then be my guest, I don't see the appeal in ramming my way through the punters to experience a gig behind a camera phone even though I know the quality of the recording will be cat anyway.

Where is my attitude? Please enlighten me where your felt threatened by my post? I though this was the place to express opinions on nights which one has attended?

your attitude blatantly stinks. it is first evident in this post where you begin by calling someone else a 'douchebag' and then in the same post go on to call other clubbers 'tossers'. from this it is clear that you are not a very friendly or open-minded person. good day to you sir.

ps- i wasn't 'threatened' by your post

pps- the 'sanatra style' tune they played is 'gramophonedzie - why don't you?'. and it's quality.

Johnny Weasel is a troll on this forum, It was clear that my ''douchebag'' comment was said as I didn't want to respond to his post.

If one post on an internet message board tells you a person is not very friendly maybe you are the narrow minded soul?

Pan Pot really played this? I can't believe that

It must have been an inside joke or something...or possibly a dig at the handbag circle :p

My thoughts exactly once it came on the four of us left the dance floor, I can understand if you want to surprise a crowd with something different but for my the night was at its peek, Confronted had just been played and people where going crazy.

As ive said they managed to recover the vibe pretty quickly but was a risky move which didn't pay off in my opinion.

Ah I wouldnt walk off the floor if a DJ played it... its not a bad old tune, although very like something youd hear in the twisted pepper when DJ Kormac is playing.

Trust me you would if there where 15 banging techno tracks prior to it. Total Buzz kill for me.
