    Hi,
Can anyone recommend some transfers from Salzburg to Mayrhofen. There are 10 adults in total going skiing but not sure were to look for transfers.
    All suggestions welcome

    Cheers

If you are booking accom, can you ask whoever you are booking from if they arrange transfers or know of anyone in the area who would?

bovrilAs said, allot of hotels, and guesthouses provide free transfers.

Take the train, it's cheap and frequent. The main train station in Salzburg is on the airport bus route. Click on this link to get all the details you need www.oebb.at/en/

Try this guy for rentals and storage he is awsome, Free schnapps every morning he is awsome.

A dummy return is coming up at about €80 return.

I doubt any guesthouse is going to offer you a free transfer. Its a 2 hour journey. There is a company called Four Seasons that do transfers in Austria coming up at 430 for 8 people return SZG - MYR.

Might be cheaper to hire a few cars.

Shorter - its about an hour from INN to MYR

If you are coming from SZG then you will do doubt be dropping people off at all the Ski Welt resorts first unless your coach is full of Mayrhofen folk which is unusual.

    Thanks Flickflack!!! :D:D:D

well last year we got on to a bus in SZG to Kaprun which also stopped in Zell am See (only at one stop due to the new rlue from the Mayor...no coaches allowed in the town) and we got on no prob but there was only 2of us and we got luck cause a flight from Luton was just in with only a few people destined for Kaprun/Zell!!! if we were stuck the flight from Dub was due in later but Crystal and an other crowed have a little system...no matter which desk you go to...which ever bus is leaving next your put on instead of having to check both the busses and they know how many are already booked on to each bus ect!!! Ring Crystal ahead...theres a small chance they'll book you on to a bus this early...better chance waiting till the week before and then they'll know how many spaces there is left on it!!!

I just booked a transfer from salzburg to mayrhofen with these...

    www.a-t-s.net

For 8 people it works out at €62 per person. (although i think when i tried to put in for 10 people it said unavailable so maybe book 5 and 5). I used the same company for St. Anton last year and can't fault them.

Hey, since my previous post I found that a-t-s are a europe-wide transfer booking agency. The transfer I've booked will actually be provided by a local company which can be booked directly here http://www.tirol-taxi.at/airporttransfer/english/directbooking_sbg.html. If you book direct with them you'll probably get it cheaper.

Alternatively I actually received an email from a-t-s today offering a 10% discount for existing customers. Instructions were as follows:

Simply call us on +44 (0)1531 822 854 or +33 (0)450 53 63 97 and state the code INEEDTOSKI before creating the booking and we will give you a 10% discount from our advertised prices on any transfer!

I'm not sure whether it'll work if you haven't already got an account with them but it's probably worth a try.

If you are looking for airport transfers from Salzburg, check: http://www.ski-transfers.com/airport_salzburg.php . There you will get quotes from airport transfer providers directly. You will compare prices and choose the best offer. The site is free and really works.

I found Austria very good for booking skiing independently - Saltzburg airport is handy enough for ski- transfers, normally one of those big taxis(8 people), with 10 it could be 2 of them or a minibus.
Used www.holiday-shuttle.at and they were fine and reasonable.

The Hotel did recommend other transfer taxi-companies
In Italy I used A-T-S before and they were a bit more expensive
