I attended a wedding in Lanzarote and it was singlehandedly the best wedding I have ever been to. The church was so intimate way up on a hill overlooking the island and the reception was in a private premises in Matagorda. It was absolutely fantastic. The transport was laid on to the church by the bride & groom and we all met at a well known hotel in Matagorda to travel to the church. I think there is a forum for weddings abroad on the weddings online site.

    We got married here.... www.hotelvineula.com

Its about 40 mins from Malaga, everyone loved it and we had a ball!
Probably a good idea to think about some areas you'd like to get married in and then look up planners in the areas - they normally have venues on their websites.
The planner we used was www.celebrationsinspain.com

We had our recertion here www.finca-hochzeit.de/finca-hochzeit-sa-font-seca-mallorca/hochzeit-finca-mallorca-sa-font-seca.html in Majorca
We had about 40 guests and it still cost about half the price it would of cost here. This included buses to and from the venue for guests and a free bar plus me and the new mrs to stay the night.
We got married in a small town called Alaro about half hour drive away.would not have changed anything about the day.

I grew up in Spain, so yeah I have been to a couple. But they were in Madrid, the couples getting married lived there. I had a lot of fun in both, the ceremonies were beautiful the food gorgeous and what it is the norm over there OPEN BAR. I wouldn't be one to drink a lot myself, I think I only had two vodkas all night (it went on until half 5 in the morning) but it is nice not to have to worry about money when you are at a wedding, plus all the dancing makes you thirsty! :D

I'm planning on getting married over there as well, and having about 100 people so we'll see how it goes
