    Hi Guys,

Both myself, my wife and others asked around Cork have been having dull headaches of varied severity for the last week or so. Generally over the top of the head.

Wife and others went to doctor, nothing could be found.

Just wondering is their a headache type bug doing the rounds at the moment?

Could be tension headaches, if you carry stress in your neck/ shoulders. Or if you grind your teeth. Get an Indian head massage and see if it eases it.

Been having those as well - just a dull headache, nothing too serious, more annoying than anything. I was wondering was it something to do with the air maybe??

    Hiya LK, RG15,

Nah its not tension headache. My headache experience is self inflicted occasionally ( hangover ) OR used to get Migraine a few times a year, thats it. This one, however, is there for the last week or so, in the background constantly, accompanied with tiredness. Best description is its like a constant mild hangover headache - can vary in severity depending on individual.

FYI - got call from my wife who said she was talking about same at work this avo and low and behold a few others piped up with the same thing. One girl was out since last thursday with headaches until this sunday - in bed. Had to pull her daughter out of school who was complaining about the same thing.

Elsewhere on the interweb others have been mentioning this headache thing recently, some are saying its a very mild version of the swine flu not developing in people who have immunity due to past flu's from the 70's, 80's and that.

Needless to say I am on the wrong side of 40 :D

Some mild "bugs" do indeed cause headaches, although it is usually accompanied by other symptoms.

In any case, most headaches with no other cause are actually dehydration - so make sure you're getting plenty of water, at least 2 litres every day.

And of course, if they continue, go back to your doctor.

Not really a PI so I'm going to have to close this thread I'm afraid.
