I'm looking to replace my alloys, I was told about

    http://www.alloywheels.com/

but I know nothing about the different makes of wheels re quality and durability... any experience of this web site or any advise on which make of alloy to go with and which to avoid?

    Cheers

What size alloys are you going for?

Replica's tend to be heavier and weaker then genuine alloys. Good brands would be ronal, bbs, oz, compomotive, speedline but these are going to be expensive.

Maybe try to find a set of genuine alloys from a higher spec model of car, what car is it btw?

For an Alfa Romeo, you can get good quality replicas on E-bay Italy, not all sellers take PayPal though. I've priced up delivery to Ireland and it's not too bad.

There is a crowd in the UK called GTA Italian Wheels/GTA Car Sales that sell replicas for Alfas. I've read mixed reports on their quality.

You see original used wheels for sale on Alfaowner.com quite a bit-most wheels that suit the 147 and GT will be suitable for the 156 as well.
