unusual pheasant

    saturday afternoon i was driving along and a pheasant ran out in front of us and flew off over a gate.
    nothing strange about that, i hear you say.
    heres the thing,
    his body was entirely green.
    head/tail feathers pretty much standard but body covered in greeny blue plumage.


    is this rare?
    just wondering like never seen one before myself

    yeah i released a green one this year just 1 out of 250 so maybe they are rare

    There on my hitlist for next years breeding birds to complement the melanistics & common...
